We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cheer Coach to lead our teams to the next level of excellence. Our program encompasses students from 1st through 12th grade, divided into three squads, each with its own unique skill level and goals. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional coaching abilities, strong leadership skills, and a passion for fostering both individual and team growth.

**Responsibilities:**

• Develop and implement halftime routines tailored to the specific needs and skill levels of each squad.
• Work sideline chants and crowd cheers as well as add to our library.
• Provide instruction in cheerleading techniques, including stunts, tumbling, jumps, and dance routines, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development.
• Plan and organize team practices, possible competitions, and performances, including choreography and music selection.
• Conduct regular assessments of individual and team progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for improvement.
• Collaborate with Studio Owner/Director, Office Manager, parents, and staff to support the overall success of the cheerleading program.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for team members, promoting character development, discipline, and dedication both on and off the mat.
• Stay updated on current trends, rules, and regulations within the cheerleading industry, and integrate innovative techniques into coaching practices.

**Qualifications:**

1. Previous coaching experience in cheerleading, preferably at the competitive level.
2. Strong knowledge of cheerleading fundamentals, techniques, and safety guidelines.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
4. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
5. Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred) (or willingness to obtain certification).
6. Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend practices, games, and events.
7. Commitment to upholding the values and mission of the cheerleading program, including promoting teamwork, integrity, and sportsmanship.
